Is Extreme Bootcamp IT Certification Training for You?

When you’ve decided that you want to earn some IT certifications to make yourself more employable or to launch a new career, you have a few different types of training formats to choose from. Many people enjoy taking IT training at a local vocational center while others prefer the convenience of online training. A growing number of people today are choosing a complete different, more extreme route and that’s boot camp training classes for IT certifications. Here are a few questions designed to let you know if you’re cut out for a bootcamp training program.

Are you 100% Dedicated and Hard-Working?
A certification bootcamp is a very intensive training program that provides hands-on training and exam preparedness. The typical bootcamp runs over the course of just a few days wherein you’ll be completely submerged in work as you are being taught all you need to know in order to pass your exam. This means you have to be 100% committed to the training program and be a self-starter who is very hard working. In short, if you’re not entirely certain you can study hard for 8 to 12 hours a day for several days in a row, you should sign up for different training format.

Can You Afford to Spend Several Thousand Dollars?
The typical bootcamp for IT training certification costs several thousand dollars. Why the price is so high is because you’re usually provided with airfare, food, lodging, transportation to and from the learning center and with all the materials needed for the course. You have to be sure that you have that kind of money to spend. And, if do, you must be double sure that you’re very confident you’ve got what it takes to complete a bootcamp training program because a bootcamp is extremely demanding.

Am You Qualified for the IT Bootcamp Training?
Before you spend money and sign up for bootcamp classes, be very sure that you’re qualified to take those classes. Any reputable training provider will state on its website what qualifications are needed for the various classes.

Do You Work well In Small Groups?
When you’re at a bootcamp for IT certification, you will be spending a lot of time with other students in both a classroom and laboratory setting. There may be times when you are asked to work alongside other students in the lab. Therefore you need to be a good team player so to speak. If you get along well with others and enjoy doing group work, then you shouldn’t have any problems spending 7 to 10 days with a group of students who are all working on earning their IT certifications. On the other hand, if you’re not so much of a ‘people-person’ and you don’t enjoy working closely with others, a bootcamp is not the right training format for you.

By honestly answering these questions you shouldn’t have any problems determining if a IT certification bootcamp is for you. If you feel that you’re a good candidate for this type of intense training, you can expect to do well as it’s designed to help students earn their certifications quickly.
